Hand-printed on white linen, the yellow colourway is panelled with a rich yellow wool while the green is bordered in a soft shade of cotton. Each is finished with subtle hand-stitched detailing, uniquely handmade from start to finish. I have conceived and created this range to honour spring’s progression through the season’s sunny palette of graded yellows and fresh greens which I’ve seen through my local landscape.

Green: 52cm x 32cm

These cushions are double-sided, finished with a zip fastening, and come complete with a plump feather inner. Strictly limited edition.

About the pattern:

My Tudor pattern is inspired by a carved oak screen at Steyning church in West Sussex, crafted to commemorate the marriage of Henry VIII & Catherine of Aragon. I have streamlined their respective insignia of the rose and the pomegranate into a design I hope can feel ancient & modern at the same time, and be interpreted in both figurative and abstract ways. Its motifs have been likened to ‘fossil spirals and ancient downland landforms’, a comparison which bears witness to my time in Sussex researching the archives of one of my favourite designers, Peggy Angus.

The final piece in my seasonal ranges, this Tudor throw is my celebration of Spring.

This double sided throw is made from off-white antique linen with the pattern hand-printed in yellow, which has washed to a mellow shade allowing the texture of the base cloth to shine through. It is edged in a rich yellow wool and finished with zesty green blanket stitch detailing, making it uniquely hand-crafted from start to finish. I have conceived and created it to mark Spring’s procession through the season’s palette of graded yellows, fresh greens and pure whites which I have followed through my local landscape. This smaller sized throw is ideal for an armchair or over the back of a sofa.

Size: 157cm x 146cm

Introducing a new contrasting colourway for my Tudor pattern, showcased in this uniquely hand-crafted piece.

The main pattern, incorporating Tudor roses & pomegranates, is hand-printed in teal blue on a paler blue back cloth of cotton/linen/viscose to create a rich two-tone effect. In a departure from my usual single colour approach, I have individually printed each set of pomegranate seeds in a richly contrasting shade of orange to bring this piece to life.

This throw is backed with a coordinating plain linen with edges of British wool, which I’ve hand-stitched in orange to finish.

Size: 155cm x 152cm – perfect for an armchair, over the back of a sofa, or laid atop a single or double bed.

About the pattern:

The third instalment of my seasonal collections, this latest Stuart throw is dedicated to Winter.

Designed to evoke the frosty whites of the season, this piece is hand-printed in lichen white on blue heavyweight linen union, edged in a blue wool with flecks of mauve, and finished with hand-stitched detailing. It is uniquely hand-crafted from start to finish as a one-off item taking inspiration from nature’s fading palette at this time of year.

Size: 192cm x 140cm (can be used as a bed runner or over the back of a sofa)

About the pattern:

Stuart draws its name and primary reference from the embroideries of Mary Queen of Scots, specifically an angular thistle she stitched while in captivity. My interpretation began as a lino cut, repeated to create a geometric and semi-abstract interlocking pattern which I hoped might feel at once ancient and modern. I was inspired to make this design after the poignant experience of handling some of Mary’s possessions in the collection at Traquair House in the Scottish Borders, where she visited 1556.
